DE FET #2 - 15 Weeks

After my bleeding scare on November 30th I had another scare on Thursday December 5th for which I ended up at my GPs office so they could use their Doppler to make sure baby was fine and thank gawd the little bean was with a HB of 158.

Then on Saturday December 7th I had another bleeding spell but not nearly as bad as the past two so I just ended up taking it easy.

No ever since the last bleed I've been having brown spotting, which I hate!

So after the three bouts of bleeding I decided to buy a Doppler, which thankfully has been delivered today. As soon as I got home I unpacked it and tried it out. I'm so greatful that we heard the heartbeat again. It took a little bit to find it but once we did it came in at 148 which I hope is good. I'm going to try my hardest not to use it any more then once a week. ;)

DE FET #2 - 12 Weeks

On Wednesday November 27th we our NT scan and it went perfectly. They said everything, including my blood results were beyond great. I was so relieved.

But then yesterday, November 30th, I was feeling kind of off so I went to lie down and I had a gush of fluid. I figured it was just the progesterone suppositories but I went to the bathroom it was light to dark red. My stomach just dropped. The only thing I kept thinking was it has to be ok because I didn't have  any cramping but rather then take any chances we decided to go to Emergency. After a long wait we finally got to see baby and thankfully we saw the heartbeat. Both G and I were so relieved. I know this kind of thing happens it's just so scary I pray that this doesn't happen again but the likely hood is slim I'm sure.

This morning the bleeding has finally stopped so I'm just going to take it easy and I may even stay home from work tomorrow, I just don't want to chance anything. See the days leading up to all this I wasn't as tired and was starting to feel really comfortable so I started to do more things, maybe I pushed it too far. :(

DE FET #2 - 10 weeks 6 days

On November 5th, 2013 was my 8 week 6 day ultrasound and for the first time ever we saw the most amazing little bean. I just can’t believe that we’ve finally made it to this point in all the years of trying. We saw the little arm and leg buds just a moving around and we even saw the umbilical cord, it was amazing! I’ve attached the picture that we were given, it’s not much and it totally doesn’t compare to what we actually saw but here it is, our little bean.

On November 14th, 2013 I had my first prenatal visit, nothing fun to report there just the usual I suppose.

On November 27th I have my NT scan which I hope goes well.

As of right now, 10w6d, I haven’t got too much to report. No real crazy symptoms other than just some low grade continual nausea all day long and occasional tiredness. I hope they are all good signs.

DE FET # 2 - 6 weeks 5 days Ultrasound

Today we went for our 6 week 5 day ultrasound and I'm happy to report that they saw a yolk sac, fetal pole and a heartbeat that read 133. The gestational sac measured in at 15.7mm and the CRL is 6.2mm. So it's measuring in at 6 weeks 2 days, I really hope that's not a problem, the only thing that's making me believe that all is ok is the fact that the heartbeat is so strong. I'm so happy that we've gotten to this point, I just pray that it sticks around.

There was also another gestational sac but nothing was seen in it and it was measuring 16.0mm, so bigger than the other one. Not sure what went on there. Oh well I'm just happy we have one.

My progesterone is at 44.3, estrogen is at 1622 (us units) and TSH is 2.54.

Now I'm just waiting to hear from ORM to see what's next. I'm assuming they will up my thyroid meds but I'm super excited to find out when we go for another U/S.

DE FET #2 - 21dp5dt - 5 weeks 5days

Today, after a hectic Thanksgiving weekend, we've decided to cover up and put things away that are in the back yard to get ready for winter. It's supposed to be a high of 11degrees Celsius so it shouldn't be too cold to be out there. Previous years we always left it to the last minute and it was so darn cold I froze my fingers off, not this time. :)

Yesterday - 5 weeks 4 days - G and I went to his families place for thanksgiving dinner. Just before we were about to leave I had to go to the bathroom and I noticed a fair amount of red blood on the TP when I wiped. That was around 4:45pm. I kept checking while we were there and it was still pretty bad until 7:45 hit and then it started to taper off, thank gawd!! I was so worried that this was the end, that it was going to get worse. I'm so greatful that it had slowed down and by 8:45 it had stopped entirely. I had some cramping but I thought maybe it was because I didn't drink enough water so I drank a tonn. Maybe that's what helped it to stop. Who knows, I just hope all will be ok but I guess only time will tell. All I can do is pray.

DE FET #2 - 17dp5dt - Beta #4

Yesterday was 17dp5dt and I got my 4th beta number of 3549. According to babymed.com all looks good and I'm within the normal range.

I took another HPT and I'm so happy to see that the control line got lighter. At this point that is my only reassurance that my hcg levels are going up. I know it's not 100% but whatever, it works for now. :)

Today when I woke up I had a little scare, warning TMI alert. I got out of bed to go to the washroom and a felt a gush, an when I checked my liner it was full of a light pinky, redy, browny watery fluid. I was a little worried but then I remember that it was probably irritation from the endometrin.

I contacted my nurse at ORM and she also confirmed it by saying "What you experienced sounds pretty normal at this point.  It likely is a combination of the endometrin, a little blood from irritation and possibly some clear discharge from elevated estrogen levels.".

Now all I can do is try and stay calm and wait pray this we see something along with a heartbeat on ultrasound day.

DE FET #2 - 15dp5dt - Beta #3

Today is beta #3. I'm praying that it's gone up a lot.

When I did a HPT this morning at 4:00am the control line was a little lighter than the hcg line so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

I never knew that the control line gets lighter the higher your levels get, or well at least that's what I've been seening from other ladies that have posted their HPT with high beta numbers this many days past transfer. I guess only time will tell.

As far as symptoms go I really don't have any other then slight nasua when I haven't eaten in awhile. Although this morning I had a some cramps and noticed on the TP that there was some pink blood. I'm a little scared but this could also either be the Progesterone suppositories or maybe things are getting bigger?? FX

I'll update as soon as I find out what my hcg number is.

Update: my beta number is 1676!! Looks like I'm still within normal range, thank gawd. I'm so excited. Next step is the ultrasound on October 21st.

DE FET #2 - 11dp5dt - Beta #2

I went to have my blood drawn this morning for beta #2 and it came back 457. A 53 hour doubleing time from 245 on 9dp5dt is pretty good right?

Don't get me wrong, I'm super happy I guess I was just wanting a higher second beta number. I'm just so scared to have to go through what I went through on my first donor IVF attempt. I just pray that this level is a good one and pray that my 3rd beta on Tuesday increases a tonn so my mind can be somewhat at ease until ultrasound.

DE FET #2 - 9dp5dt - Beta #1

9dp5dt, I'm just about ready to head out to the lab to have my blood drawn for my first beta. I'm so nervous right now my stomach is so tense I want to throw up.

I did another HPT and I believe the line is the same as yeaterdays though this time I could see the hcg line and the control come up together so maybe it's a good sign. Fingers crossed.

I'll update later today providing I get the results.

Update: I just got the call and my beta came in at 245, isn't that great! Now I just pray for Fridays beta to double.

Estradiol - 2568
Progestrone - 44

DE FET #2 - 8dp5dt

Today is 8dp5dt and I'm turning out to be a POAS addict.

This morning at 7:00 am I took another HPT and it's definitely getting darker. I'm soo excited!

Could this finally be it!

I know, I know, I really need to keep my excitement in check. I still have to make it through my first beta - which is tomorrow - then pray for a 48 hour doubling time for the second beta, which is on Friday.

Then if we get through all that, there's the 5 or 6 week ultrasound. The test that will give us a real feel as to what's going on in there.

Until tomorrow, fingers crossed.

DE FET #2 - 7dp5dt

Today is 7dp5dt and I just had to test again to see if it was getting darker and it appears to be so I'm so happy. Not as dark as I'd like - so I hope it's still ok - but it's better than nothing. I'm starting to get excited for Wednesdays beta.

DE FET #2 - 6dp5dt

It's 2:45am Sunday morning, a very early 6dp5dt and got a slight positive, Yayyyy!!!!!

Now I know it's still earl - but it falls in line with the chart below - and I'm definitely not out of the woods yet but I pray to God that it gets darker tomorrow.

I know it's too early for any real symptoms because a lot of them, at this point, can be attributed to the meds but I'm hotter then normal a lot if the times and I've been feeling slightly nauseous throughout the days since 2dp5dt.

DE FET #2 - starting

After the sonohysterogram in November 2012 I went for a hysterscopy in January 2013. They found nothing abnormal so I'm back to square one, not too sure what Dr. S saw on the Sono but when Dr.  W said all was fine, including the biopsy after the hysterscopy I guess I just have to trust him.

Fast forward to June 2013, I'm supposed to have a FET at ORM but my lining only get up to 6.4mm so it was cancelled.

We tried again in August for a September 16th transfer. We changed things up this time and instead of using interamuscular Delesteogen we are using Climera patches in hopes that my lining would get above 6mm, for a little shake up so to speak.

My first ultrasound for this cycle was September 2nd - about three days earlier then normal - at RFP. They measured my lining to 6.5mm. Not too bad considering its early. Then I had to go for another ultrasound on September 9th at RFP again. Dr. S measured my lining to only be at 7 or 7.6, just depending how they placed to prob. So I asked for a second opinion - he wasn't happy but for god sakes, I'm paying a crap load of money for this. He finally agreed and brought in Dr. G. He was no better because he claimed to see my left ovary, which is funny because I DON'T HAVE ONE!!!!

So I made the decision to ask Dr. H at ORM if I could please go down there for an ultrasound and he agreed. We flew down to Portland for the ultrasound for the following Monday, September 16th. It went great! My lining was easly detected by Dr. H at a solid 9.0mm. I tell you, the machines in the US are way better then here in Canada - maybe the docs too. :) Anyway we get to go ahead with the transfer next Monday, yayy!!!

Monday September 23rd, transfer day, we got the call from the embryologist at 11:00am saying that the first two embryo's only thawed at a 50% cell survival. All I could think was "crap, it's happening all over again. All our embryo's must be this bad!" So I asked if she could just keep thawing until she finds some good ones.

We arrived at ORM at 1:15 for the transfer and to our surprise they told us that the next two embryo's they thawed look great and have a 90% and 95% cell survival. I'm so happy we didn't have to go through all our embryos to get good ones. We now have 9 frosties left.

So what do you guys think, do they look good or do you think they were just saying that? I can't really find anything on Google. :(

So today is 3dp5dt nothing but some cramping in the later day and I'm thirsty as usual. Hopefully this time works. Fingers crossed. Not getting my hopes up though.
